We enjoyed the Thanksgiving holiday spending time with family and friends and attended the Egg Bowl in Oxford with a nice result for the Rebels! The end of the week was very busy! Elizabeth was able to spend some time with her cousins on both sides of the family and enjoyed every minute. She and Baylor roasted marshmallows in the fireplace and made smores on Saturday night (her first time-she loved it!)
It has been a busy time of year with work and trying to start shopping (I'm a last minute person). She had school pictures scheduled for last week and I got a call at work from May May who said "you're not going to believe what she's done". That phrase always scares me. She told me that Elizabeth would not have her picture made because every time she got on the stool she would put her head down and say she was scared. They could not get her to cooperate so she did not have a school picture made! I was most upset by not having a yearly school picture so I have phoned the photographer to see if he will do a make up session for her.
We finally got our Christmas tree yesterday and our decorations came out of the attic. Elizabeth enjoyed watching Daddy put the lights on the tree and she even helped decorate a little. Another good thing we have just started enjoying this year that I know will be a must for a tradition is the Elf on the Shelf. We read the story together and she decided to name her elf "Edgar". We're not quite sure where she got the name but needless to say she is enjoying getting up every morning to see where he has "landed" in the night! Edgar has definitely kept her out of big trouble more than once!

We had such a fun weekend. Disney on Ice was fantastic as expected (and more expensive than expected...never in my life did I think I would pay $10 for cotton candy). Elizabeth loved it and had so much fun watching all the characters. Friday night went well with the trick-or-treating. She was very excited to be able to walk up to the homes in our neighborhood with her dress up high heels on. Finally, at the last house, she says "my feet are hurting" and we had to get rid of the shoes. We went to Darden to spend the night to get ready for the game the next day. The weather was perfect and her cousin Tripp and his parents, Jay and Emmy were there and she had a blast playing with them. We went back to Darden that night with everyone and spent the night. All in all, a great weekend.
Also, the candy has begun to be a problem...she wants it in lieu of meals now.

Halloween Party!
Today was Elizabeth's Halloween party day at school. Shelley Roper, myself and Kelly Phillips were the party moms. We have been trying to get this thing planned out for a couple of weeks now and it all seemed to go off without a hitch. The children had so much fun painting their pumpkins and had just as much fun eating goldfish and Creative Cakes cookies (especially Elizabeth-the cookie was her favorite part!). We were able to hang out with them after the party and watch them play on the playground for awhile which was also alot of fun, seeing how they interact with the other kids.
We have a busy rest of the week and weekend, I took off so that I would be able to help with the party today and then we are going to Disney on Ice for the first time tomorrow, which Elizabeth is really looking forward to. She is so into Ariel right now and I'm hoping she is going to have a wonderful time. We are carrying her trick-or-treating tomorrow night and then Saturday are going to Oxford to the game and hang out in the grove. She always has fun strolling around and checking things out and usually ends up asleep in the stroller. I failed to remember to bring my camera to the party today, so hopefully some good Halloween and Grove pictures will follow!

School days...
Well, so far, so good in Calvary Preschool 3's! She seems to be doing quite well and loving her class and teachers. There have been a couple of altercations, but nothing serious. She is learning also that there is time out at school just like at home! I am loving being able to drop her off in the mornings and especially the days I am off so I can pick her up. That is fun time for us to talk about her day, although she doesn't usually have alot to say. Today, she came home with a booklet all the children had made "about Me" and apparently she told the teachers she had brown eyes and black hair and her favorite color was brown. She also said she loved to eat eggs and little cookies??? and someday would be as big as "a tower". The last page had a picture of her and she had one eye closed with a big smile! These are going to be the best memories!

First Day of School
After a long weekend, it was time to come back to the real world! Elizabeth had her first day of school today. She is in the 3 year old class at Calvary and is going to be attending two days a week for half a day. She did the 2 year old class last year and had so much fun. I got her up this morning and asked her if she was ready to go to school and she said "No, I want to go to Kroger with you". I promised her that after I picked her up from school that we would go to Kroger and "run errands".
I picked her up and her teacher "Miss Francille" said that she had a good day. It was a good start to hopefully a great year!

Turning 3!!!
Well, we survived the 3rd birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese! It was on Saturday, the 23rd at 10 am and it was her (ours too) first trip to the Chuck E. Cheese here in Tupelo. We got there, and as children started to arrive, each child was given a cup of tokens and from there out it was a chase trying to keep up with them. There were so many things to play and do that none of the kids even stopped for an hour and a half. Elizabeth wanted cupcakes for her birthday so we got princess decorated cupcakes which everyone enjoyed. Elizabeth was having a fantastic time until the big Chuck E. Cheese came around the corner to sing "Happy Birthday" and dance with everyone. She immediately attached herself to me and did not let go until he was gone. Other than that, her birthday party went beautifully.
We also had my niece's (Bella Claire) 5th birthday party that afternoon, so to say the least, everyone was worn out. She got so many great gifts and has enjoyed every spare moment checking each gift out. She got a set of 6 pairs of high heel dress up shoes and has worn every pair around the house. They go well with her purse and cell phone. We're in trouble....

It's Party Week!
Well, Elizabeth is getting so excited because this week is her party week! She cannot wait to celebrate her 3rd birthday at Chuck E. Cheese. She has invited many of her friends and has actually never been there so I am sure she will be pleasantly surprised. We have a busy August because her cousins Brooks and Bella Claire both have birthdays and a good friend Emilia does also! She also went to a party for her friend Drew last Saturday at McDonalds and loved every moment.

Vacation is over-back to reality.
Well, we survived a week together. We had the best time at Big Cedar with the Owens. Elizabeth had a blast playing with the girls and thought she was as big as they were. Her favorite part of vacation was getting to ride the shuttle bus around the resort. Everytime she would get off, she would tell the bus driver "Thank you bus!". We went on the boat every day and skied, knee boarded and swam. Elizabeth loved getting out in the lake and swimming with her life jacket on. We went to eat twice at a place called Buzzard's Bar and they had live entertainment. There were movies shown at the pool every other night. There was so much to do there that you would never get bored.
Stefan's 20 year class reunion was also last night. We left Big Cedar at 6 am Saturday morning and got back in time for E to have her nap and Stefan to mow the yard. The reunion was alot of fun, there was a great band and a big crowd. We had a few over for a late night and enjoyed every minute although we are paying for it today!

It's Saturday and only one more day until we leave for vacation. Elizabeth thinks that every day she is going on vacation and after we get back it's Mommy's birthday party and then her birthday party next! She's doing very well in the potty training (I mean she's nearly 3-it's time). She poo-poo'ed in the potty the other day and we were so excited! She's now able to be bribed to do anything for bubble gum.

It's been a while since my last post. I'm still trying to figure out how in the world to get this site looking decent. I have a lot to learn! We are having a great summer and E has already had swimming lessons. She has a new cousin, Tripp, who was born June 18. We went to visit him a couple of weeks ago and Elizabeth calls him "The Tripp". She enjoyed meeting him and she loved on him every chance she got!
We are looking forward to vacation which is scheduled for next Monday thru Saturday. We are going to Big Cedar Lodge in Missouri with the Owen family. Elizabeth is extremely excited because she loves hanging out with Bishop and Harper. We will have about a 7 hour (or more) car ride so we'll see how that goes!

Stefan, Amy and Elizabeth
I've thought this was a great way to keep up with everyone and decided to do it for our own family. A little bit about us, Stefan and I were married in March 2000 and were blessed with our daughter Elizabeth who is now 2 1/2 years old. We live in Tupelo and he is in fabric sales and I am a nurse at Cardiology Associates. We enjoy being with our friends and being on the go!
